=======God-Complex======

In [[Mesoamerica|Mesoamerican]] studies, a **god-complex** is a historical lineage or conglomeration of closely related [[Gods]] from different cultures or even the same culture. These Deities may simply be different names for the same God, aspects of the same God, the result of local [[syncretic religion|syncretism]], or different, but closely related Gods. Debate might exist as to how a God might relate to the other Gods within the complex, and [[gnosis|personal interpretations]] might vary among practitioners.
