**Chicomecoatl** (Seven Serpent) is a [[teteo|God]] of corn. She is sometimes called "Goddess of Nourishment" due to Her status as a God of plenty and a feminine member of the [[maize_gods|maize]] [[god-complexes|god-complex]]. In a younger aspect, She is known as Xilonen[(https://nahuatl.wired-humanities.org/content/xilonen)]. Chicomecoatl can best be described as a deity of food, drink, and human livelihood. She, [[Chalchiuhtlicue]], and [[Huixtocihuatl]] are considered sisters and providers of food, water, and salt, respectively.
